Most of this is quite helpful, written by the people who are experienced and know what they are taking about but there also exist some advice that seems to be contradictory to the former. RENT FROM BIGGIES

There is a notion about renting a car from the major companies like Europcar, Avis or Hertz can be a great thing to do. So you can get the same service but with a different name. This combo is very beneficial for these brokers who are in the profit while giving you the same service. They also market these local rental companies that don’t have big names but the services they are providing match the standard of the big companies.

 

PAY FOR THE DAMAGE

Well, this is a very common myth regarding the car rental. People always feel like they are going to pay for the damage.

Usually people believe on the rental stories of some X, Y, Z without actually knowing the fact. People assume such things happen and happen on frequent basis or every time the car is damaged. However, this is just a myth and is being propagated equally by the reviews of some rental companies which people read and predict the conclusion. However, the fact of the matter is that such incidents rarely occur and the percentage is quite negligible.

 

PAY THE SAME

People sometimes show up on the same date they need to travel without making the prior reservation. However, it is always advisable to book a car for rent early. This is due to the fact that there are fluctuations in the rates according to the market scenario. During peak seasons, the rates are considerably high as compared to the other times of the year and showing up on the same date when you need to travel can be quite inflated. With so many car rental companies going online, reservations can be made anytime and anywhere.

 

THEY WILL CHARGE FOR FULL DAY

This myth is about the charging you for the full day even if you booked it for an hour only. This thing is totally untrue. The time is calculated in the form of blocks of 24 hours.  You do not have to wait for 23:00 hrs. to make your booking, there is no need for that.  Rental clocks don’t start at midnight but with the booking time.

 

YOU WILL GET THE CAR YOU BOOKED

There is always expectations from clients that they will definitely get the same car that they have booked online. Although car of same size and features is provided to the client, there is no guarantee that it will definitely be of the same model. The number of requirements that were mentioned will be same like doors, windows, comfort level, capacity but else might be different like colour, model or make of the car. It is also true that most of the times clients are provided with the same model and colour of the vehicle they choose while booking. Having said that not much is different but it is also true that you won’t be given something smaller than what you booked online. If you booked a luxury car for rent, you will get the same and not some mid-size car or economic car.

 

NOTHING HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS

Customers usually assume that nothing have been changed over the years in the rental services and the conditions. They assume that renting a car today means same as it was years ago. Looking at the facts, it is clear that the rental companies have their terms and conditions, and although they may look similar, it is advisable to note the differences which might end up surprising if one fails to read or simply avoids going into the depths. The car rental companies keep changing their terms and conditions from time to time as so do the rates.

 

WAITING FOR THE CAR AFTER YOU MISSED FLIGHT

Usually what happens in such circumstances is that you will be given allowance of some hours after you provide the rental company about your flight details. Some rental companies give allowance of up to 4 hours based on the time that was to be scheduled. However, if the flight don not show up and probably you arrive on the different flight and don’t presume that car will be waiting for you. The best way to overcome some circumstances is to communicate with the rental service provider and they will act accordingly.


 

FOREIGN LANGUAGE IS USED IN RENTAL AGREEMENTS

It is a common myth that car rental companies use foreign language for rental agreements but happens in reality is that normally contracts are written in a neutral medium that is English. The customer care representatives are also well in English and it is very easy to communicate with them.
